Gopher & Mole Control Across the Los Angeles Hills
Pet-safe, no-poison gopher and mole control across the hillside neighborhoods of Los Angeles — from the Santa Monica Mountains to the Northeast LA hills and Baldwin Hills.
In Los Angeles, gopher and mole problems are a hills-and-canyons story. Our work concentrates in the city's hillside neighborhoods, where clay soil, steep lots, and open-space canyon margins create constant pressure — and where irrigated canyon lawns also drive real mole activity that flatter parts of the city never see. We've run over 14,000 gopher jobs and 400 mole jobs across LA, grouped into three hill regions below.
Santa Monica Mountains & Westside Hills
Our biggest LA zone — Laurel Canyon and Hollywood Hills West (Mulholland Drive, Wonderland Avenue, Woodrow Wilson Drive), the Cahuenga Pass and Mount Olympus, and Brentwood's Mandeville Canyon into Bel Air. Brentwood is also our mole capital — moist, wooded, irrigated canyon lawns drive more mole work here than anywhere else we service. Properties backing onto Griffith Park and the Santa Monica Mountains also see ground squirrels off the open space.
Northeast LA Hills
Mount Washington, Silver Lake, Atwater Village, Echo Park and Elysian Heights, and Los Feliz along Griffith Park, plus Highland Park, Eagle Rock, and El Sereno. Hillside lots on clay hold gopher tunnels year-round — most customers here run monthly plans because the canyon edges constantly refill.
Baldwin Hills & South LA Hills
Baldwin Hills, Baldwin Vista, Leimert Park, and the View Park and Ladera Heights slopes. The same hillside clay-soil gopher pressure as the north, on the city's southern ridge.
Also served — the Westchester and Kentwood bluffs near LAX (90045), the main non-hill pocket of steady gopher work in Los Angeles.
How Gopher & Mole Control Works
Gopher and mole control begins by locating active tunnels and identifying primary travel routes. Treatment is performed using traps or carbon monoxide when appropriate, based on the technician's assessment. Traps are reset until no new activity is observed during the guarantee period. Our service is child-safe and pet-safe, and we do not use chemicals or poisons.
60-Day Guarantee
Service includes a 60-day guarantee from the start of service day. If activity returns within the guarantee period, we retreat at no additional cost. If service past the guarantee period is needed, monthly or quarterly maintenance is available at an affordable price. Our maintenance agreements do NOT require long-term contracts and can be cancelled any time.

Frequently Asked Questions
We focus on the city's hillside neighborhoods — the Santa Monica Mountains and Westside hills (Laurel Canyon, Hollywood Hills, Brentwood, Bel Air), the Northeast LA hills (Mount Washington, Silver Lake, Echo Park, Los Feliz, Highland Park), and the Baldwin Hills — plus the Westchester bluffs near LAX. We've completed over 14,000 gopher jobs across LA.
Moles eat earthworms and grubs and prefer moist, rich soil — exactly the conditions of Brentwood's shaded, irrigated canyon lawns in Mandeville Canyon and the Westside hills. Gophers eat roots and dominate the drier, sunnier hillside lots elsewhere. That's why Brentwood is our busiest mole area while the rest of the city is mostly gophers.
Yes. Properties backing onto Griffith Park, the Santa Monica Mountains, and other open space see ground squirrels migrate in off the wildland — most often in the Hollywood Hills and Cahuenga Pass. We trap them underground with no poison, safe for the canyon wildlife corridor.
Yes. We use underground trapping and carbon monoxide only — no baits or poisons — so it is safe for dogs, cats, children, and neighboring wildlife on steep or open-space-adjacent properties.
Starting at $325 with a 60-day guarantee. Ongoing hillside maintenance runs $65/month or $175/quarter.
