The whole system which is connected by tunneling is filled with this lethal gas in about 30 seconds and will eliminate gophers within the tunnels including young in the burrow. Once the machines are turned off the gas quickly dissipates from the tunnels. Above ground people and pets are unaffected by the gasses down in the tunnel.
